Sunday Morning Adult Discipleship

Sundays at Faith Covenant, 9:15am in the Fellowship Hall

At Faith Covenant, the centrality of the Word of God is one of our Healthy Missional Markers, as well as one of our Core Values. All our values come from what we discern from the Word of God.

Current Sunday Adult Discipleship Study: Luke

This class will begin on March 22, 2026

As we finish our study of Luke, it it fitting that we continue Luke's account of the Acts of the Apostles. As Luke documents an "orderly account" of Jesus' birth, life, death, and resurrection, he continues with an orderly account of the Acts of the Apostles. In this 12 week study of Acts 1-12, we will see how the Holy Spirit empowered Peter and the disciples to spread the Good News of Jesus Christ even during opposition from the Jews. One of those opposing the early church was Saul (Paul), who participated in the stoning of Stephen. And yet God converted Saul to be, "a chosen instrument of mine to carry my name before the Gentiles and kings and the children of Israel."

Amazingly, God advanced His Kingdom during opposition during Peter's day. It is also amazing to see how God continues to advance His Kingdom in our day during opposition and deception. Peter's charge during his first sermon was, "Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of sins and you will receive the Holy Spirit."

We will see that charge carried out all the way through Acts. Please join us and take Peter's charge to heart to others that God brings into your life today.

Men's Ministry

Saturday mornings at 9 a.m. (September-May) in the Welcome Center--this session will start Saturday March 28

Gentlemen,

You are invited to join us as we start our Spring Session. We will be studying the book Name Above All Names, by Allistair Begg and Sinclair B, Ferguson.

From the Book Jacket:

"Jesus Christ has been given the name above all names, the highest seat of honor, and the right to reign and rule. Yet the busyness of our lives and the diversions of this world often distract us from knowing the most important person we could ever know.

Name Above All Names helps us to see and meditate on the incomparable character of Christ by examining seven key qualities of Jesus' identity and ministry- to focus our gaze upon the King of kings and to better understand just how great Jesus really is."

The books and sign-up sheet are located in the Welcome Center under the TV monitor. The cost of the books are $8, payable to Dave Tomashewski.

If you have any questions, please contact the church office at 614. 865.0791.
