Tim says that there is no excuse for him NOT to be a believer in Jesus Christ. Tim was born in 1953 in Youngstown, Ohio, into a strong Christian family where honoring Christ and serving in the church were priorities. Tim accepted Christ at Mission Meadows Bible Camp and was active in his faith during high school years.

Tim graduated from North Park College in Chicago in 1975. Sensing God’s call on his life, he enrolled in North Park Theological Seminary where he received a Masters Divinity in 1979. It was while he was in campus ministry at North Park College that he met and married Colleen. Whatever else may come, Tim understood that he had a lifetime partner who would share in the work of ministry.

In 1989, the Heintzelmans accepted the call to The Covenant Church of Thomaston, Connecticut, where they would serve for nine years. In 1998, Tim and Colleen felt God’s fresh leading upon their lives and accepted the call to come and serve Faith Covenant Church.

The passions continues to burn within Tim’s life – those for serving Jesus and Jesus’ people; those for his family; and those for seeking creative and wise ways to build up Christ’s church. (And if some day his teams from Cleveland ever win, well, then, that would be icing on the cake!)
