History

Faith Covenant Church was chartered on March 27, 1977 by twenty-nine people in a farm house on the north side of Columbus, Ohio. Brought together by a solid belief in Jesus Christ as Savior and the Bible as the Word of God, this small group began as a church plant of the Evangelical Covenant Church. Today it has grown into a worshipping community of over one hundred and seventy.

The congregation quickly outgrew the farm house and moved to the local YMCA building. Every Sunday the congregation transformed the sights, sounds….and smells….of a YMCA into a sanctuary, if only for a few hours.

Faith Covenant Church moved into its first permanent facility in 1985 at the corner of Morse Road and Cherry Bottom in Gahanna, Ohio. God blessed this congregation with growth until we had outgrown the facility. In 2000, CVS made us an offer for our property that we prayerfully…..and joyfully accepted. So in April of 2000 God led us to our new home in Westerville, Ohio.

Since then we have been busy sharing the Word of God and our hearts with others and God has continued to bless us. Our average attendance has increased almost 50%. Our music ministry has grown by the addition of a worship band and by filling of the choir loft. Vacation Bible School has grown to serve 240 children last year. Most recently, we have remodeled entry area and our sanctuary to make it more welcoming to all.

Come grow with us – in the faith, in the Word and in your heart.
